MornLift (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the MornLift mobile application (“App”).

When you use MornLift, you may choose to provide:

  • First Name: Optional, used only for personalized greetings within the App
  • Preferences: Your selected life goals, challenges, desires, preferred affirmation time, and delivery style
  • Custom Affirmations: Any affirmations you create yourself
  • Favorites: Affirmations you save to your favorites collection
  • Settings: Your notification preferences and display settings

Information Collected Automatically

The App automatically tracks:

  • Usage Statistics: Streak counts, total affirmations viewed, and viewing history
  • Daily Delivery History: Which affirmations were shown to you and when

Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

  • Email addresses
  • Phone numbers
  • Precise location data
  • Contacts or address book information
  • Health or medical data
  • Photos or media (except temporarily for sharing features)
  • Payment or financial information (handled entirely by Apple)
  • Cross-app or cross-website tracking data
  • Device identifiers for advertising purposes

2. How Your Data Is Stored

All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure storage systems:

  • UserDefaults: For preferences and settings
  • SwiftData: For affirmations, favorites, and history

iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, your data may sync across your personal Apple devices through Apple's CloudKit service. This sync:

  • Only occurs within your personal iCloud account
  • Is controlled by your device's iCloud settings
  • Is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy
  • Can be disabled in your device's Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

  • Deliver personalized daily affirmations based on your preferences
  • Display your saved favorites and custom affirmations
  • Track your streaks and usage for your personal motivation
  • Send reminder notifications at your chosen time
  • Provide the core functionality of the App

We do NOT use your information to:

  • Send marketing communications
  • Display advertisements
  • Create user profiles for third parties

4. Third-Party Services

Apple Services

MornLift uses the following Apple services:

  • StoreKit: For processing in-app purchases and subscriptions. Apple handles all payment information according to their privacy practices.
  • CloudKit: For optional iCloud sync across your devices
  • Push Notifications: For daily reminders (local notifications scheduled on your device)

No Third-Party Analytics or Tracking

MornLift does not use:

  • Analytics services (Firebase, Amplitude, etc.)
  • Advertising networks
  • Social media SDKs
  • Crash reporting services that collect personal data
  • Any services that track you across apps or websites

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties.

The only data transmission that occurs is:

  • iCloud Sync: Your data syncing within your own iCloud account (if enabled)
  • App Store: Transaction verification with Apple for subscription status

6. Data Retention

Your data remains on your device for as long as you use the App. You can delete all data by:

  • Uninstalling the App from your device
  • Using the “Reset All Data” option in Settings (if available)
  • Disabling iCloud sync and removing App data from iCloud

7. Children's Privacy

MornLift is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@mornlift.com.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Opt out of data collection
  • Data portability

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your information at all times.

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

  • All data is stored using Apple's secure storage mechanisms
  • No data is transmitted to external servers
  • iCloud data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

  • Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
  • Updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy

Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
